| Chelsea are experiencing a slight dip in form and are winless in their last four matches as most recently they suffered a bitter 1-2 defeat against Atalanta in the Champions League, having taken a 1-0 lead. This has also tightened up the Premier League table, with only three points separating fourth and 10th place. The Blues are right in the thick of it in 5th position with 25 points. They have only lost two of their ten home games at Stamford Bridge this season. Also they have scored before halftime in seven of their last nine home matches, including their midweek Champions League game. Despite a strong home record against Everton, Chelsea are unbeaten in 30 league games against the Toffees at Stamford Bridge. With eight points already given away after taking the lead, they have squandered more than in the entire previous season. The most recent example was the 1-1 draw against Arsenal, where Chelsea once again failed to hold onto a lead. |
